Uganda Culture runs on people who share what they know. Every contribution we publish names the person it came from, in the way they choose, on every page where it appears. Credit is not a footnote here; it is the record of who keeps Uganda's culture alive.

Questions people ask

Which events do you list?

Events open to the public that celebrate or teach Uganda's cultures: festivals, performances, exhibitions, ceremonies people may attend, workshops and classes.

Does it cost anything?

No. Listing is free. We do not sell tickets; we link to wherever you sell them.

How far ahead should I send it?

At least two weeks before, so an editor can confirm the details with the organiser. Yearly events can be sent any time.

What does "date to be confirmed" mean?

Every date starts as tentative. Once the organiser confirms it with us, the page shows it as confirmed.

Can I update it if the date moves?

Yes. Write to us with your reference. Postponed and cancelled dates are shown as such rather than removed.

Can I add a poster or photos?

Yes, on the organiser step. A poster or photos from a past edition make the listing far more visible.
