Questions people ask

Why do you need to check it is me?

So that nobody else can get or erase your information. We usually reply to the email address you give and ask you to confirm.

What happens to stories or photos I shared?

Erasure removes your personal details from them. If you also want a published contribution taken down, say so in the details box, or use Request removal.

Is there anything you have to keep?

Records the law requires, and proof that consent was given or withdrawn. We tell you what we kept and why.

Does it cost anything?

No. If requests are repeated without reason, we may explain why we cannot act on them again so soon.
